These two are the reasons we do what we do. Their zest for life, love of animals, tenacity, desire to learn and fire are God’s greatest gift to us. We work hard to support them in all that they do while teaching them to care for others, to grow in knowledge and understanding, and to always practice as well as advocate for truth and transparency. While we do not know where this adventure will take us, we know that we are embarking on it for all of the right reasons.

The Story of Light and Life Farm

Our farm is located in Rutledge, Georgia where raising animals is more than just a practice—it’s a passion inspired by the love and enthusiasm of two remarkable little girls, Ella “Ray of Light” and Vivian “Full of Life”. Through caring for our animals, we aim to instill essential life skills such as hard work, dedication, compassion and the pursuit of that which makes us happy. We do not always get it right, but we enjoy learning and trying every day. Our current herd is primarily Dexter Cattle and Boer Goats but we also raise commercial beef cattle and a few Kune Kune pigs!
