Kune Kune Pigs

We are always up for something new! In 2023, we decided to raise Kune Kune pigs. They are good foragers, personable and do not cause damage to our pastures! That said, we are not currently breeding for future litters. We do have a few males available that are well socialized and ready to go!

PIGS?
Pigs have been a complete joy to have around the farm! The girls love to pet, play and take care of these little guys! They also love feeding them a variety of leftover fruits and vegetables (and the occasional donut or cookie) from the house!

Our Females

These are our two breeding sows. They are the ones that started our voyage into pigs! They both have a forever home here!

Trudy

Fullblood but unregistered female. She’s the one you will often see “smiling” in pictures!

Hilda

Hilda is our registered female! She is as sweet as they come and a super mama to her piglets!

Registered Kune Kune Boar! He has put some really pretty babies on the ground for us and is super easy to get along with. Sire to Mr. Wiggles and Ziggy.

Mr. wiggles is a single wattled male that is so loved here at the farm! we hate to give him up and if he does not find a loving home soon, we might castrate and keep him. Fullblooded but unregistered. Dam is Trudy.

Kune Kune pigs are a small, docile and friendly pig with a distinctive look. They are small and easy to handle which makes them suitable to family farms. One of our favorite features of the Kune Kune pig is that they are great foragers! Though they are certainly not as pig as the commercial pigs of today, their smaller size and growth rate means they make a valuable meat product with enhanced tenderness and marbling.
